Our Team

The Chakwetu team brings together professionals committed to protecting biodiversity and advancing sustainable development across Tanzania. We work with purpose, combining expertise in conservation, finance, grants management, environmental safeguards and community engagement.

Our leadership is guided by a diverse Board of Trustees who represent government, civil society, academia and donor partners. The executive team, led by the Chief Executive Officer, ensures that our programs are delivered with transparency and impact. Supporting this work are directors responsible for administration and finance, programs and innovative financing.

We collaborate closely with local communities, national institutions and international organizations. Every member of our team shares a deep commitment to preserving Tanzania’s natural heritage and improving lives through inclusive and resilient environmental action.
